Whitecourt wins NWJHL Championship

The season came to a close for the Fort St. John Huskies on Thursday night, as they lost game 4 of the NWJHL Championship to the Whitecourt Wolverines.

The Huskies played a much better game than the night before, keeping it tied at 1 until early in the third period.  The final score was 4-1 for the Whitecourt Wolverines.  With the win the Wolves swept the series in 4 games.

Whitecourt will now move on to the Alberta Junior B Provincials, while the Huskies get some well-earned time off to rest their tired and aching bodies, after a long and gruelling playoff run.
