Fort St. John has a new Mayor

Fort St. John has a new Mayor.

Bruce Lantz has been elected the Mayor of Fort St. John with 1,498 votes compared to Jim Eglinski with 1,342. Mr. Lantz says Council and City Staff will decide what is the first issue he will deal with.

On City Council it pretty much stayed the same, the only exception was Karen Simpson who wasn’t relected. Trevor Bolin is the only new member of Fort St. John City Council. Bruce Lantz says this is a great group of people.

Out going Mayor Jim Eglinski says there was a lot of miss information being put out during this campaign.

Bruce says Jim brought a lot of positive things to City Hall.
