There’s still no early morning evidence of it in Fort St. John but, more motorists are seeing some relief at the gas pump.
In many areas the price of gas went down, between six- and nine-cents-a-litre overnight, given that Hurricane Ike’s toll on U-S refineries was much lighter than feared.
Pump prices soared as much as 13 cents in Canada, eleven and half here, prior to the storm’s Gulf Coast arrival last weekend.
Some analysts said then, it was based on fears of gasoline supply disruptions.
Others however, continue to insist it was a clear case of price gouging on the part of the nation’s four big oil companies.

Oil prices closed below 100 U.S. dollars a barrel, yesterday, for the first time in six months.
