double stabbing in Fort St. John over the weekend, and it’s being linked to UFC fighting. Early Sunday morning (just before 5:30 am), the local RCMP was called to the 8800 block of 78 A street, where police discovered two males suffering from stab wounds. The males were taken to the hospital, where they were treated for their injuries and released. A third male was taken into custody, and has been charged with with two counts of aggravated assault. Constable Jackelynn Passarell says all three males were local residents, and none of them were known to the police.

Passarell adds the males did all know each other, though she didn’t elaborate on what kind of knife was used for the stabbing. The suspect has been released, on the conditions that he not consume alcohol, possess a weapon, or come onto contact with the victims. He is scheduled to appear in court on July the ninth.
