The Dawson Creek RCMP has found a bicycle bandit suspect and, he’s in custody, in connection with this week’s bank robbery in that city.
Police have confirmed a sixty year old unidentified man, matching a surveillance camera description of the robbery suspect, was arrested Wednesday night.
They also report, he had in his possession, a large, undisclosed amount of money stolen, from the CIBC branch in Dawson Creek, shortly after noon on Wednesday.
The bank robber, who fled the scene on a bicycle, had indicated he was armed but, the police arrest report makes no mention of a weapon.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in Dawson Creek provincial court on Tuesday.
