Northern BC Trade Mission to China

The weeklong Northern BC Beijing Trade Mission is set to begin onSaturday and, Mayor Eglinski and City Manager Dianne Hunter willrepresent Fort St. John.

The group is lead by Initiatives Prince George and, also has municipal delegates from Mackenzie, Terrace and Prince Rupert.

This city has received a 50 thousand dollar grant from the provinceto pursue the BC-Asia Twinning Project and, about 15 thousand of itwill be used for this trip.

Team Northern BC will be at the BC-Canada Pavilion locatedkitty-corner to Tiananmen Square, in the heart of Olympic activities,in the Chinese capital.

The pavilion will showcase the province’s industry, lifestyle and, innovation for five months, around this year’s summer games.
