RCMP Roll Over Simulator

Beginning Monday, the RCMP North District Traffic roll-over simulator is set, to begin a two week tour of the North Peace.

A 25 minute power point presentation is part of the program and when it’s over, there will be an opportunity for audience questions.

The simulator demonstrates a vehicle rolling, while traveling at about 50 kilometers per hour.

Constable Dwayne Breitkreutz says it will demonstrate just how small a roll is required, for occupants to be ejected from a vehicle.

A series of public presentations is scheduled to begin, at 7 o’clock Monday morning, at the Hudson’s Hope School.

Others will follow next week at North Peace Secondary, at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning…and, at 9am and 12.30pm Thursday, on the Blueberry Reserve and Prespatou School.

The following week there will be two more Fort St. John presentations, at the Oil and Gas Commission and the Leisure Center.

There will also be four more outside the city, at the Upper Pine and Wonowon schools and, the Doig and Halfway Reserves.
