Edmonton Teen Murder in FSJ – Update

The 17 year old Edmonton boy facing a second degree murder charge, in connection with an incident last month in Fort St. John, is scheduled to be back in court on Monday.

He is currently being held in juvenile detention in Prince George and, is expected to appear through videoconference.

The RCMP says a seventeen year old Edmonton girl was found, in distress, at a Fort St. John apartment on May 18th and, died in hospital as a result of her injuries.

Police say the accused boy and the victim new each other but, there still withholding the details of their investigation.

There has been no police release on media speculation the girl died from stab wounds and, that the incident may have been connected to drug, and/or, gang related activity.
