Be a Tourist in Your Own Town Week kicks off locally tomorrow, at the Fort St. John Visitor Center.
A barbeque is scheduled from 11am to 3pm with the proceeds going to the SPCA and, preceding that at 10am will be the Energetic Amazing Race.
Participants will travel across the city doing what a city hall news release describes as, “all sorts of fun activities.”
The week is meant to draw attention to local area tourist attractions and activities and, to that end the Visitor Center will be giving out the Passport to the Peace all week long.
It will include incentives and deals to many local area attractions, to help people locate and enjoy them.
The Visitor Center is now open Monday to Friday, from 8am to 7pm and, on weekends and holidays, from 9am to 6pm.
The phone number is…785-30-33 or, you can go online… to [email protected].
