A software engineering student, who grew up around Fort St. John, has received his degree and several prestigious awards at the University of Victoria.

In fact, Aaron Kaspar is a rare triple medalist.

He received the Governor General’s Silver Medal, as the top undergrad and, gold medals in software engineering and, for the highest grade point average, in his graduating class.

Meantime, Jude Steward a grade eight student from Charlie Lake is, among the 100 students from across the province in Kamloops this weekend.

They represent 13 different regional fairs and are attending the first annual Provincial Historica Fair, with opening ceremonies set for tomorrow morning, at 11 o’clock.

Finally, the Energy in Action program has moved today, from Charlie Lake School to Clearview Elementary and, students there are getting their chance to learn more about energy conservation.
