FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – On Saturday, February 29th the FSJ for LNG put on a ‘Rally for Canada’ in the greenspace located on 100th and 100th, right in the heart of town.
The turnout was excellent, and participants showed some true FSJ grit, enduring the bitter wind and blowing snow to get out and speak out against the illegal blockades.
Protesters had the support of many local residents, shown in the form of honking and cheering as people drove by the scene.
From 12 pm until 1 pm they had a tent set up, music playing and lots of chanting going on as participants marched up and down the block.
They made a valiant effort to raise some more awareness surrounding what is going on in Canada, expressing their concern about the affect that it will have here in town.
Basing the rally around the premise that everyone needs to “Build Canada Up” rather then “Shut Canada Down.”
