Side-by-side incident in Charlie Lake leads to arrest

Police were called to break up a fight in Charlie Lake on Friday morning, June 21st.

CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. — An individual was taken into custody in Charlie Lake last week on charges of breaching a court order.

Fort St. John RCMP media relations officer Christiaan Dreyer, says the detachment received reports of a fight in the Highway 97 and Kaps Avenue area in Charlie Lake on Friday, June 19th, at 8:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, police investigated the matter, where it was determined that one of the scuffling parties was in breach of a court order.

Dreyer told Energeticcity.ca that a woman was taken into custody on the charge, and a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle was towed.

Dreyer said vehicle ownership was not established, prompting its removal from the area.
