Man charged with first-degree murder in 2018 death in Metro Vancouver

SURREY — Homicide investigators say a 45-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the 2018 death of a man in Metro Vancouver.

Police say Miikael Tattoo King, formerly known as Michael Branden Anderson, is also facing one count of obstruction of justice in the case.

The case happened in April 2018, when police were called to a body found in Pitt Meadows and identified the victim as 43-year-old Delta man Ian Roberts.

Police also found a red GMC SUV linked to the victim, and investigators say a multi-year effort to identify Roberts’ cause of death and the location where he was killed led them to the suspect.

The alleged murder is believed to be targeted, with Roberts and King known to each other.

No further details have been released due to the case being before the courts.
