TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. — The District of Tumbler Ridge is now seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) for an upcoming FIFA World Cup event. 

On June 15th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the District of Tumbler Ridge will host a FIFA World Cup 2026 Canada Celebrates event, according to a local notice on May 28th. 

“This nationally coordinated celebration will bring together live entertainment, family-friendly activities, food and beverage services, soccer-themed programming and community spirit as communities across Canada celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026.”

The district said it is seeking EOIs from both local and regional businesses, organizations, entertainers, and service providers interested in participating in the event. 

An EOI is a statement submitted by a person, company or investor interested in an opportunity for a job or to become involved in a business. 

Opportunities for the event may include food vendors and trucks, beverage garden operations, entertainment and cultural performances and security.

Those interested should review the EOI package and the FIFA event requirements on the district’s website. 

EOIs must be submitted to edo@dtr.ca before Thursday, June 4th at 2 p.m. local time.
