2026 Snowbird lineup includes Fort St. John local

The Snowbirds are elite Canadian Air Force pilots who specialize in teamwork and flight skill.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — This season’s edition of the Canadian Air Force (CAF)’s aerobatic team squad will include a member from Fort St. John.

Captain Jerin Roberts will fly Snowbird plane number 11,as revealed in a Facebook post from the Snowbirds earlier this month.

He will also serve as the squadron’s safety pilot, one who ensures each show-site is mission ready and safe.

Originally from Fort St. John, Roberts studied physics at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops before joining the Canadian Air Force (CAF) in 2017.

He earned his wings, according to the post, in 2020.

The Snowbirds are the elite group of pilots from the CAF, who specialize in teamwork and flight skill, and perform at events all over North America.

The Snowbirds 2026 season will begin on Sunday, May 24th, with a fly-past appearance during the Canadian Grand Prix in Montréal.
