The host team, the North Peace Hockey League’s (NPHL) Dawson Creek Canucks, will face stiff competition in their efforts to hoist the Coy Cup, which was first awarded in 1923.

It features senior men’s hockey champions from the Central Interior Hockey League, Quesnel Kangaroos, and the West Coast Senior Hockey League champions, the Powell River Regals.

Rounding out the four-team competition will be the Rossland Senior Warriors, who will represent the Kootenays region.

The Canucks had a strong NPHL 2025-26 campaign, finishing off the regular season with a record of 15 wins to a single loss.

It built on that performance with a solid post-season, beating the Fort St. John Flyers and Spirit River Rangers in the first two rounds of the playoffs before falling to the Manning Comets in a four-game sweep for the NPHL’s Campbell Cup.

Round-robin tickets for the Coy Cup start at $10, with an all-day package being $15 and a package for the entire tournament $65.

Playoff packages for the semi-finals and final are $15. Children under six years of age are free.

The 2026 Coy Cup takes place from Tuesday, March 31st until Saturday, April 4th. To buy tickets, visit the tournament’s website online or call the Ovintiv Events Centre at 250-782-7443.
