Warning of snowfall up to 15cm issued for South Peace
The South Peace River, particularly near Tumbler Ridge, has been forecast to receive 10cm to 15cm of snowfall on March 20th and Environment Canada has issued a ‘yellow’ warning.

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. — The South Peace River near Tumbler Ridge has been placed under a snowfall warning for today.
According to Environment Canada, a ‘yellow’ level warning of snowfall amounting to 10 to 15 cm has been forecasted on March 20th in the morning.
It said a “frontal system” is expected to bring heavy snow to the South Peace River region.

The highest snow accumulation is forecasted near Tumbler Ridge and in communities near the Rockies.
However, the snow is expected to taper off this afternoon.
A ‘yellow’ warning refers to hazardous weather that may cause damage, disruptions or health impact, but these impacts are moderate, localized or short-term.
Environment Canada said roads and walkways may be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

It asked commuters to allow extra time for travel.
This comes after Environment Canada issued two warnings of more than 10cm of snow in Fort Nelson and through the Pine Pass on March 15th and March 16th.
