The highest snow accumulation is forecasted near Tumbler Ridge and in communities near the Rockies.

However, the snow is expected to taper off this afternoon.

A ‘yellow’ warning refers to hazardous weather that may cause damage, disruptions or health impact, but these impacts are moderate, localized or short-term.

Environment Canada said roads and walkways may be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

It asked commuters to allow extra time for travel.

This comes after Environment Canada issued two warnings of more than 10cm of snow in Fort Nelson and through the Pine Pass on March 15th and March 16th.

Residents are asked to continue to monitor alerts and forecasts by Environment Canada and to report severe weather conditions to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #BCStorm.
