Man dead, homicide police investigating after fight at Metro Vancouver home

MAPLE RIDGE — Homicide investigators are looking into the death of a man in Maple Ridge, B.C., after a reported altercation with another person in a home.

Police say they responded Monday night to a call of a fight at the home located on 110 Avenue, where officers found a man in medical distress.

The victim was treated at the scene by emergency responders but died of his injuries.

Police say one person has been arrested, but no further details on the individual were released.

Investigators say the altercation appears to be an isolated incident between people known to each other, and there’s no additional risk to the public.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken charge of the case and is asking for anyone with information to come forward.
