Fort St. John city salt truck driver involved in crash and issued ticket after allegedly running red light
A City of Fort St. John salt truck was involved in a crash after allegedly running a red light at the intersection of 100th Street and 100th Avenue on March 8th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A City of Fort St. John salt truck was involved in a crash after allegedly running a red light this weekend.Â
The Fort St. John RCMP received a report of a crash at the intersection of 100th Street and 100th Avenue at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 8th.
Officers say a truck sanding the roads allegedly failed to stop for a red light.Â

A witness told Energeticcity.ca that a Ford Bronco heading in the opposite direction attempted to avoid the collision, but was unable to stop, resulting in the collision.
According to the RCMP, the collision occurred at a low speed and no injuries were reported, but the driver of the truck was issued a violation ticket at the scene for failing to stop at a red light.
The witness said the female driver of the Bronco was attended to by first responders.Â
The City of Fort St John confirmed there is an active internal investigation into an incident involving a city vehicle on Sunday, March 8th, but declined to comment further.Â
