Environmental Protection Notice
Application for a Permit Under The Provisions of the Environmental Management Act

We, Amrize Canada Inc. of 6509 Airport Road, Mississauga, Ontario L4V1S7, intend to submit this application to the Director to authorize the discharge of air emissions from a Cement Terminal facility. The sources of discharge are 2 silos containing cement located on the site. The material is not manufactured on site but is handled as a finished product for distribution.

The land upon which the facility is situated and where the discharge will occur is 9367 Northern Lights Dr., Fort St. John, V1J 6X5, within the Peace River Regional District. (Lot 13, Plan BCP39567, Section 33, Township 83, Range 18, Meridian W6, Peace River Land District). The maximum rate of air emissions discharged from this facility will be 51 and 56 m³/day. The operating period for this facility will be 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. The characteristics of the waste discharged are as follows: Total Particulates maximum 25 mg/m³. The type of treatment to be applied to the discharge is a cartridge dust collector.

Any person who may be adversely affected by the proposed discharge of waste and wishes to provide relevant information may, within 30 days after the last date of posting, publishing, service or display, send written comments to the applicant, with a copy to the Director, Environmental Protection, Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy at Industrial.Waste.Authorizations@gov.bc.ca. The identity of the any respondents and the contents of anything submitted in relation to this application will become part of the public record.
