Taylor to prioritize snow complaints and water quality management in 2026
The District of Taylor’s operational department has reported it is prioritizing water quality and snow complaints ahead of the 2026 budget.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The District of Taylor’s operations department says it is dealing with snow complaints and water quality going into 2026.
According to a report to council during the January 19th meeting, the district’s operations department had a busy final quarter of 2025.
Ryan Nelson, the director of operations, noted the department is now responsible for clearing 32 driveways through the district’s ‘seniors and disabled driveway clearing’ list.
This comes after a December which saw the region blanketed in near-record snowfall.
Nelson also noted several complaints the department received regarding “the height of piles at the end of driveways” and the “timeliness of removing windrows” from the ends of driveways.
Three wells received water testing, and the department participated in ongoing conversations around managing the district’s water treatment process to control water hardness.
The report concluded with Nelson stating the department was finalizing its operations budget for 2026, and finishing an audit for one of the sewer system’s lift stations’ pumping capacity.
