Obituary – Jeanette Marie Jorven
Jeanette Marie Jorven of Fort St. John passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on December 26th, 2025.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Jeanette Marie Jorven of Fort St. John, B.C., beloved wife of Christopher Jorven, passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on December 26th, 2025 at the age of 69.
Born in Athabasca, Alberta to François and Adeline Ricard, she moved to St. Albert, Alberta and attended St. Albert Catholic School and graduated from St. Albert High School.
She married Chris in 1976 and had two children. She was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Oilwives Club of Fort St. John. She worked at various businesses in Fort St. John in her early days. In 1996, she went to work as a school bus driver for School District 60.
She worked there for 25 years and retired in 2021.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, daughter Nicole (Stephan) and son Ryan (Dayna), as well as her grandchildren Ashleigh, Zoe, Emma, Mikayla, Christopher, Preston, Logan and newest Sophie. She adored her great-grandson Jasper. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Phillip, Rosanne, David, Robert, Adele and Edmond and predeceased by her parents Francois and Adeline, sister Bernice and brothers Lawrence, Raymond and Eugene.
Jeanette was cremated at Pattison Funeral Home in Medicine Hat. There will be a celebration of life for her at a later date.
