During a meeting in August, the Rural Budgets Administration Committee set a budget of $200,000 for the equipment purchase.

The department also received 30 self-contained breathing apparatus earlier in the year at a cost of approximately $445,500.

The money for the equipment comes from funding set aside from Electoral Area C Peace River Agreement funds.
