Dave Challoner, Enbridge manager of projects and Aspen Point program project lead, said: “As we near the halfway mark of completing construction of the Aspen Point program, we want the community to know how much we appreciate their continued patience and support.

“This event is a small gesture of our appreciation and an opportunity for us to connect directly with the community members while enjoying our morning cup of coffee.”

The Aspen Point program is an expansion of the northern section of Enbridge’s west coast natural gas system, including the construction of a compressor station called Wochiigii.

With the new additions, the transportation capacity is set to increase to 535 million cubic feet per day.

The construction that started in April has been targeted to finish by the end of next year.
