No injuries reported after early-morning Fort St. John shooting report
Four people were arrested on weapons-related charges after the report on October 24th, none of whom have been identified by the RCMP.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Several people were arrested in Fort St. John this morning after local RCMP officers received reports of shots fired.
According to a new press release from the city’s RCMP detachment, officers received the report at roughly 5:30 a.m. on Friday, October 24th.
The shots had reportedly taken place in the 9600 block of 96th Avenue. Police say they arrived at the scene and quickly located evidence consistent with recent gunfire, and have alleged a gunfire exchange had taken place at a nearby home.
Officers entered the home to ensure its occupants’ safety. The four people found inside the residence were reportedly uninjured.
Four people were arrested on weapons-related charges. None were identified in the release.
Further firearms and paraphernalia were found in the home, and police say they believe the incident to have been a targeted shooting related to gang activity and the local drug trade.
As such, officers say they will remain in the area to continue their investigation.
