FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson Provincial Courts from August 25th to September 5th.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, August 25th
Christopher David Boswell (born 1985):

Boswell was found guilty of driving without reasonable consideration for an incident in Fort St. John on May 24th, 2024. Boswell was issued a $1,000 fine, a one-year driving prohibition and a $150 victim surcharge, which goes towards supporting the victims of a crime.
Robert Jay Boys (born 1975):
Boys was found guilty of flight from police and four counts of theft $5,000 or under for incidents in Fort St. John between April 2024 and June 2025. Boys was sentenced to jail time served and received a 12-month probation order.
Matthew Mark Campbell (born 1983):
Latest Stories
Campbell was found guilty of hunting, taking, wounding, trapping and/or killing wildlife out of season and failing to comply with the conditions of a hunting licence for incidents in Pink Mountain on August 3rd and 4th, 2024.
Campbell was fined $501, issued $75.15 in victim surcharges and subjected to forfeiture, which allows the government to seize property and assets ‘tainted’ by crime.
Rajiv Ronio Chand (born 1999):
Chand was found guilty of assault for an incident in Fort St. John with no listed date in Court Services Online (CSO). Chand was issued a 30-day conditional sentence, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest.’ Chand also received an 18-month probation order.
Denell Greyeyes (born 1990):
Greyeyes was found guilty of operation with a blood alcohol content over 80 for an incident in Fort St. John on August 4th, 2024. Greyeyes was issued a $2,000 fine and a one-year driving prohibition.
Richard Henry Hawthorne (born 1972):
Hawthorne was found guilty of caring or controlling a vehicle or vessel while impaired for an incident in Fort St. John on December 15th, 2018. Hawthorne was issued a $1,000 fine and a one-year driving prohibition.
Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, August 25th
Nicole Arlene Baker (born 1998):
Baker was found guilty of being in a dwelling-house without a lawful excuse for an incident in Fort Nelson on May 26th, 2025. Baker was issued a conditional discharge and an 18-month probation order. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if Baker meets the conditions the judge sets.
Carson Harold Grant Poirier-Torraville (born 2000):
Poirier-Torraville was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an incident in Fort Nelson on April 14th, 2025. If Poirier-Torraville fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.
Darren Dennis Klondike (born 1989):
Klondike was found guilty of breaching a release order for an incident in Fort Nelson on August 16th, 2025. Klondike was fined $300 and issued a $90 victim surcharge.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, August 26th
Lloyd Charles Glibbery (born 1949):
Glibbery was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an incident in Dawson Creek on March 20th, 2025. If Glibbery fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.
Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, August 27th
Bryden Joseph Baptiste Ashdown (born 1983):
Ashdown was found guilty of arson damaging property and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm for incidents in Fort Nelson that took place between June and September 2024.
Ashdown was issued a 728-day conditional sentence, a 24-month probation order, a 10-year firearm prohibition, $300 in victim surcharges and ordered to report for DNA sample collection.
Brittany Payou (born 1996):
Payou was found guilty of two counts of breaching a release order for incidents in Fort Nelson that took place between April and August 2025. Payou was issued a conditional discharge and two 15-month probation orders.
Arlene Francis St Pierre (born 1969):
St Pierre was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm for an incident in Prophet River on August 23rd, 2024. St Pierre was issued an 18-month probation order and a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow. St Pierre was also ordered to report for DNA sample collection.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, August 28th
Karl Marc Schaefer (born 1996):
Schaefer was issued a zero-money recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, after an incident in Fort St John on April 1st, 2024.
Nolin Ray Seely (born 1979):
Seely was found guilty of wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer and dangerous operation of a conveyance for an incident in Fort St. John on April 24th, 2024. Seely was issued two 90-day conditional sentences.
Brandon Ronan Stuckless (born 1993):
Stuckless was found guilty of trafficking in a controlled substance for an incident in Fort St. John on August 13th, 2022. Stuckless was issued a 24-month conditional sentence, a 36-month probation order, a lifetime firearm ban and was ordered to report for DNA sample collection.
Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, August 28th
Marty John Cooper (born 1989):
Cooper was found guilty of mischief $5,000 or under, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and assault by choking for incidents in Fort Nelson between October 2023 and October 2024.
Cooper was issued a 180-day conditional sentence in addition to jail time served. Cooper was also issued an 18-month probation order, 10-year firearm prohibition and ordered to report for DNA sample collection.
Cheryl Lynn Parson (born 1985):
Parson was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an incident in Fort Nelson on September 24th, 2024. If Parson fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, September 3rd
Dalena Jeanette Belcourt (born 1987):
Belcourt was found guilty of dangerous operation of a conveyance for an incident in Fort St. John on September 24th, 2024. Belcourt was issued a five-month jail sentence, 24-month probation order and one-year driving prohibition.
Jaden Skye Chamberlain (born 1999):
Chamberlain was issued a zero-dollar recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for an incident in Taylor on December 31st, 2024.
Jean-Paul Stuart Roberts (born 1978):
Roberts was found guilty of the following, for incidents that took place between October 2023 and May 2025:
- Breaking and entering with intent to commit an offence
- Possessing break-in instruments (two counts)
- Breaching an undertaking (five counts)
- Willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer (two counts)
- Assault
- Theft $5,000 or under
Roberts was sentenced to a combined total of 18 days in jail in addition to jail time served. Roberts also received two 12-month suspended sentences, three 12-month probation orders, was ordered to report for DNA sample collection and subjected to forfeiture.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, September 5th
Brett Everett Edwards (born 1969):
Edwards was found guilty of the following, for incidents that took place between October 2016 and December 2019:
- Being unlawfully at large (two counts)
- Failing to appear pursuant to a court order (three counts)
- Breaching an undertaking or recognizance
- Driving while prohibited and/or with a suspended licence
- Loading and/or unloading a prohibited and/or restricted firearm with ammunition
- Allowing a dog to hunt wildlife
Edwards was sentenced to 258 days in jail in addition to time served. Additionally, Edwards was issued a 12-month probation order, a 10-year firearm prohibition, ordered to report for DNA sample collection and subjected to forfeiture.
Edwards also received a zero-dollar recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for an incident in Fort St. John on October 26th, 2024.
