Accolades presented to winners of 2025 Community Awards

The winners of the City of Fort St. John’s 2025 Community Awards were announced during the 18th annual Moose FM Block Party on Saturday, September 6th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The winners of this year’s Fort St. John Community Awards have been revealed.

The city revealed this year’s recipients during the 18th annual Community Awards ceremony at the Moose FM Block Party, presented by RE/MAX, on September 6th. 

According to the city, the awards honour youth, individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations “that make Fort St. John a vibrant and caring community.”

This year’s recipients include:

  • Citizen of the Year Award – Margaret and Jim Little
  • Youth Award – Bailey Gauvin-Mayes
  • Business Award – Elevate Youth
  • Non-Profit Award – Fort St. John Hospital Auxiliary

“Each of these recipients has made a lasting impact on our community,” said Mayor Lilia Hansen. 

“We congratulate all the nominees for their dedication to Fort St. John and for playing such an important role in shaping the heart of our community.”

The city also thanked award supporters Urban Systems, Merwin Optical, Fort St. John Co-op and Eagle Vision Agency.

The Moose FM Block Party is organized by Moose Media, the parent company of both Moose FM and Energeticcity.ca.
