Cecil Lake agricultural area considered for rezoning to allow for homes

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) is looking at a zoning change that could open the door for five new residential lots near Cecil Lake.

A public meeting is scheduled for August 14th at 10 a.m. at the PRRD office in Dawson Creek to consider Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2580, 2025.

The proposal would rezone parts of 4896 and 4794 Cecil Lake Road from agricultural (A-2) to residential (R-2).

Written comments, which can be submitted through the PRRD’s website, will be accepted until 4 p.m. on August 13th.
