The Fort St. John Literacy Society is holding its ‘Nature to Nurture’ event on August 6th at the Whiskey Jack Nordic Ski Club in Beatton Provincial Park.

The Fort St. John Literacy Society will be holding its Nature to Nurture event next week.
This free event includes a guided forest hike, stretching, exercise and breathing, with an added focus on traditional Indigenous plants, animals and medicines.
Danelle Boyd, executive director and literacy outreach coordinator, told Energeticcity.ca that participants will “be able to breathe and have a clear mind while embracing nature at its best.”
She added the activities help “with the mental and physical aspects of individual lives.”
Nature to Nurture will take place on August 6th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Whiskey Jack Nordic Ski Club in Beatton Provincial Park.
The event is limited to 15 participants. To register, email coordinator@fsjliteracy.ca or call (250) 785-2110.
