FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Chetwynd Provincial Courts between June 2nd and 6th.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, June 2nd

Meaghan Alberta Elizabeth Woods (born 1987):

Woods was found guilty of uttering threats and theft $5,000 or under for an incident in Fort St. John on June 26th, 2023. 

Woods was issued conditional discharges and two 18-month probation orders. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.

Woods was also issued $200 in victim surcharges, which go towards helping the victims of a crime.

Peter James Zietsoff (born 1968)

Zietsoff was found guilty of assault with a weapon and breaching a release order for incidents in Fort St. John in August 2022 and April 2025. 

Zietsoff was issued conditional sentences for a combined total of 12 months and 30 days, as well as a 24-month probation order, an order to report for DNA sample collection and $200 in victim surcharges.

A conditional sentence is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called “house arrest.”

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, June 3rd

Liam Irving (born 2005):

Irving was found guilty of two counts of breaching release orders for incidents in Dawson Creek in July 2024 and March 2025. 

Irving was issued a $500 fine, a one-year probation order and $250 in victim surcharges. Irving also received a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow.

Cora Lee Krahn (born 1980):

Krahn was found guilty of driving without a licence for an incident in Dawson Creek on April 2nd, 2024. Krahn was fined $500 and issued a $75 victim surcharge.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, June 4th

Katlin Darcy Cota (born 1988):

Cota was found guilty of two counts of theft $5,000 or under and one count each of assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, breaching a release order and assault by choking.

The charges were issued as a result of incidents in Fort St. John that took place between July 2024 and March 2025.

Cota was sentenced to jail time served, and received six 18-month probation orders, $300 in victim surcharges and two orders to report for DNA sample collection.

Chetwynd Provincial Court sentencing, June 5th

Allan Matthew Courtorielle (born 1969):

Courtorielle was found guilty of breaching an undertaking for an incident in Arras on October 7th, 2024. Courtorielle was sentenced to jail time served and issued a $100 victim surcharge.

Jacque Louis Rohel (born 1966):

Rohel was found guilty of driving while prohibited and/or with a suspended licence for an incident in Chetwynd on June 29th, 2024. Rohel was issued a $500 fine and a $75 victim surcharge.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, June 6th

Curtis Mitchell Bronswyk (born 2002):

Bronswyk was issued a recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for an incident in Fort St. John on August 10th, 2024.

Teodor Zaharia Ember (born 1971):

Ember was found guilty of driving without a licence for an incident in Fort St. John on October 30th, 2023. Ember was issued a $2,000 fine, a $300 victim surcharge and a nine-month probation order.

Ivo Koulev (born 1970):

Koulev was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an incident in Pink Mountain on June 7th, 2024. If Koulev fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, June 6th

Logan Joseph Gary McLean (born 1998):

McLean was issued a recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for an incident in Dawson Creek on June 30th, 2024.
