Road closed in Fort St. John for seniors housing project construction

The City of Fort St. John said 98th Street between 100th Avenue and 101st Avenue is closed while workers connect the developing seniors housing complex to the city’s storm sewer system.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Drivers and pedestrians in Fort St. John have been warned about a road closure near the city centre.

In a May 26th Facebook post, the City of Fort St. John said 98th Street between 100th and 101st avenues is shut.

This is being done to connect the developing seniors housing complex to the city’s storm sewer system.

The city said the closure should be in place for “several days.”

People should use 96th Street and 100th Street as a detour for the time being. 

All local businesses in the area are still open and accessible on foot.
