Vehicle incident causes slowdowns on Highway 29

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — Dawson Road Maintenance is warning of a traffic delay caused by an incident on Highway 29.

According to the company, which is responsible for maintaining all provincial roads in the North Peace, it occurred on the Cache Creek Hill on May 23rd.

Witnesses at the scene allegedly reported a truck flipped over, but Energeticcity.ca has not been able to confirm this as Dawson Road Maintenance hasn’t offered information on the specifics of the incident, except that an assessment is currently in progress.

In the meantime, the area has been reduced to single-lane alternating traffic. Motorists in the area are being urged to watch for workers and equipment.
