Please Stay Off the Site C Reservoir
The Site C reservoir has been filled, but there are still hazards as the surrounding land continues to stabilize.
All public boat launches on the reservoir are closed. New boat launches will open when the reservoir is deemed safe, which will be at earliest spring 2026.
The public is strongly urged to stay away from the shoreline and off the slopes along the new reservoir. Hazards may include:
• Submerged hazards
• Unstable shoreline and erosion
• Floating wood debris
BC Hydro is monitoring for debris and slope instability and will advise when the reservoir is deemed safe for public use.
