UPDATE: Cruiser Mountain area wildfire now ‘under control’
A four-hectare wildfire has been reported west of Chetwynd, in the Cruiser Mountain area, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).

The fire in the Cruiser Mountain area near Chetwynd was first reported on Tuesday afternoon, April 8th. It was listed as ‘under control’ on Wednesday, April 9th.
A fire which is “under control” is one that is “not projected to spread beyond the current perimeter” according to the BCWS. The suspected cause is believed to be human activity.
