Emma Baron, the detachment’s media relations officer, told Energeticcity.ca seven weapons were discovered.
The charges come after police say they conducted a search warrant at a residence where numerous poorly-stored firearms were allegedly found.
Police have accused the 43-year-old of having firearms that have been used in several violent crimes in the Peace region.
When contacted by Energeticcity.ca, Baron said she could not disclose more information about those alleged crimes because they are part of “quite large investigations.”
