FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson Provincial Courts between March 24th and 28th.
Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, March 24th
Jay Darcy Roberts (born 1982):
Roberts was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an incident that took place in Fort St. John on December 20th, 2024. If Roberts fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they will pay the $500.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, March 25th
Barbara Joyce Reno (born 1986):
Reno was issued a $100 recognizance after the allegation for an incident that took place in Fort St. John on February 10th, 2024. If Reno fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they will pay the $100.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, March 25th
Benjamin Touchette:
Touchette was found guilty of possession of a weapon contrary to an order and assault. The details of the incidents that led to Touchette facing those charges are under a publication ban.
Touchette was issued a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow, and a one-year probation order, in addition to jail time served.
Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, March 25th
Collin Warren Needlay (born 1992):
Needlay was found guilty of breaching a probation order for an incident in Fort Nelson on November 1st, 2023. Needlay was issued a suspended sentence and a 15-month probation order.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, March 27th
Adam Arthur Ward-Pattison (born 1987):
Ward-Pattison was found guilty of hunting, taking, trapping, wounding and/or killing wildlife out of season, for an incident in Pink Mountain that took place on October 6th, 2022.
Ward-Pattison was issued a $100 fine and a $15 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime.
Ryan Michael Douglas Zuber (born 1981):
Zuber was found guilty of breaching a release order for an incident in Fort St. John on May 24th, 2024. Zuber was issued a conditional discharge, a six-month probation order and a $100 victim surcharge. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, March 27th
Ahmad Tayara (born 1992):
Tayara was issued a zero-dollar recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for an incident in Chetwynd that took place on September 19th, 2024.
