Cory Longley named as NDP candidate for Peace region in 2025 federal election

The NDP candidate for the Prince George – Peace River – Northern Rockies riding in the 2025 federal election has been confirmed as Cory Longley.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Just five weeks out from the next Canadian federal election, another candidate is throwing his hat into the ring.

Cory Longley confirmed to Energeticcity.ca he will run as the New Democratic Party (NDP) of Canada candidate for the Prince George — Peace River — Northern Rockies riding.

Longley, who also ran as part of the NDP in our riding in 2021, will compete against incumbent Conservative candidate Bob Zimmer, David Watson of the People’s Party of Canada, and Mary Forbes of the Green Party of Canada.

The Liberal Party of Canada has yet to confirm a candidate for the riding.

Current Prime Minister Mark Carney called the election on March 23rd. It will take place on April 28th.
