Alberta energy company finalizes gas plant in Pouce Coupe area

Natural gas wells in Pouce Coupe are expected to be commissioned by the end of 2025.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — An Alberta energy company has reported favorable results from wells to the east of the Peace Coupe area.

In its 2024 financial results, Logan Energy Corporation reported capital expenditures of $151.2 million for the year, which were reinvested in items such as $6.9 on land and seismic surveys, $92.6 million in drilling and project completions and $48.2 million which went into facilities, pipelines and well equipment. 

East of Pouce Coupe in Alberta, three well pads were drilled and brought into production, with compression and pipeline infrastructure built to support the site.

The facility, Pouce 4-19 Facility, is capable of producing 40 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) gas plant with a compressor station on site and an oil battery. 

Logan anticipates the facility to be commissioned sometime in mid-2025, and is expected to produce 10,000 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day.
