RCMP arrest two people in Fort St. John following ‘brief chase’

Fort St. John have arrested two people on March 6th in the area of 100th Street and 102nd Avenue following a brief chase.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Two people were arrested in the middle of Fort St. John after a brief chase and allegedly in possession of drugs. 

According to a press release from the RCMP detachment in Fort St. John, the Street Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle at 12:20 p.m. on March 6th in the area of 100th Street and 102nd Avenue for alleged drug-related offences. 

After being told they were under arrest, the RCMP said the vehicle’s young passenger tried to flee on foot.

A person was caught after a brief chase and the RCMP allege they discovered drugs and cash.

Both individuals are currently in police custody and the investigation is ongoing.

The RCMP is asking anyone who has information on this matter to contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100, anonymously tip Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or submit a tip at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca.
