Taylor water main to be temporarily shut off

A water main around Spruce Street North between 98th Avenue and Birch Avenue East in Taylor will be temporarily shut off on March 4th due to a service leak.

TAYLOR, B.C. — A water main in Taylor will be temporarily shut off due to a service leak. 

The District of Taylor announced in a release on Tuesday, March 4th the shut-off will go into effect at 1 p.m. and will last until the “late afternoon.”

According to the district, the shut-off was due to a water service leak on Spruce Street North between 98th Avenue and Birch Avenue East.

“The District of Taylor will need to shut off the water main in the area to address the situation,” says the release. 

Residents are encouraged to take precautions to store up water for their households and to prepare for other water outage issues.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience and we will rectify the situation as soon as possible,” the release says.

Anyone still experiencing problems after the shut-off is advised to run the taps for five to 10 minutes and if the water does not return to normal, call the district office at 250-789-3392.
