FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Motorists are advised that Highway 97 at the 86th Street intersection has reopened.

In a social media post, Dawson Road Maintenance said there was a motor vehicle incident around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4th, but it said the road reopened at 7:51 a.m.

The service said Highway 97 had been reduced to single lane traffic heading northbound while its southbound lane remained open.

It warmed motorists to slow down as crews and equipment may still be at the scene. 

According to its website, Dawson Road Maintenance provides highway maintenance services in four areas of British Columbia, including the Cariboo, North Peace and the Bulkley-Nass region around Smithers.
