Two in hospital after incident on Peace River

Two people were taken to hospital after breaking through the ice in a vehicle on the Peace River in Taylor last night.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Two people were taken to hospital after an incident on the Peace River last night.

In the evening of February 14th, reports to Energeticcity.ca allege that a vehicle with at least two individuals inside drove onto the Peace River in the District of Taylor, breaking through the ice.

Jodi Gillich, a communications officer for the provincial Health Services Authority stated BC Emergency Health Services received a call at 6:25 regarding the incident.

Two ambulances with primary care paramedics responded to the scene, providing emergency medical treatment to two individuals and transporting them to hospital.
