Dawson Creek RCMP look to identify shoplifting suspect

Dawson Creek RCMP officers are looking to identify a man they say stole $200 worth of items from the local Walmart on February 2nd at 8:00 p.m.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Police officers in Dawson Creek are looking for help identifying a man they say is believed to have stolen roughly $200 worth of items from the local Walmart.

Officers with the city’s RCMP detachment got word of a shoplifting incident at the retailer at about 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd.

The shoplifter is accused of walking out of the store with a full cart of items worth approximately $200 and into a vehicle waiting for him in the parking lot to make a getaway.

He’s described as a 40-50-year-old man, standing roughly five-feet-seven-inches tall and wearing a blue jacket.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the Dawson Creek RCMP detachment at 250-784-3700.
