Roofing business faces thousands in fines from WorkSafeBC for ‘repeated and high-risk’ violation
Raptor Mountain Roofing was fined $2,500 on January 14th for an alleged lack of fall protections following a WorkSafeBC inspection.
DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — A South Peace roofing company has been fined by WorkSafeBC for what it calls a “repeated and high-risk” violation.
Raptor Mountain Roofing was fined $2,500 on January 14th, 2025, following a WorkSafeBC inspection of a work site at a two-story apartment building.
According to the penalty summary on WorkSafeBC’s website, there was no form of fall protection in place for workers at the site.

That meant employees were at risk of falling 22 feet off the two-story building, it said.
No information regarding the current review or appeal status of the penalty was available on the WorkSafeBC website.
“The current amount may not reflect the final penalty amount,” the site reads. “The results may not reflect the most current status of the penalty if it is under review.”
Raptor Mountain Roofing declined to comment on the situation when contacted.
