FORT NELSON, B.C. — Drivers in Fort Nelson can expect a spike in road traffic while natural gas line maintenance takes place.

Local traffic may be impacted from February 10th to February 22nd while compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks transport the energy to the FortisBC local facility.

“These trucks are being used to ensure there is sufficient supply of natural gas to local communities while Enbridge performs some maintenance work to its line that provides gas to the FortisBC system in the area,” says Mark Falkenberg, FortisBC’s corporate communications advisor.

A maximum of eight to 10 CNG trucks per day can be expected in the area.

Falkenberg says the company is committed to providing safe, reliable and affordable energy for customers while meeting its energy demands.

“We appreciate the public’s patience during this time,” Falkenberg concludes.
