Police hunt information about unspecified Fort Nelson ‘incident’

Northern Rockies RCMP officers in Fort Nelson say they’re looking for witnesses to an event that took place on 51st Avenue West earlier this week, but aren’t sharing details as to what happened.

FORT NELSON, B.C. — Police officers in Fort Nelson say they’re looking for witnesses to an event that took place on 51st Avenue West earlier this week, but aren’t sharing details as to what happened.

Officers say an incident occurred on Wednesday, January 29th in front of a local business “initiated an immediate response from police”.

The Northern Rockies RCMP detachment is now looking for witnesses, dashcam footage and any information from anyone who was in the area of the 5100 block of 51st Avenue West between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on the 29th.

No reports of an arrest have been made and police haven’t shared any further details regarding the incident.
