Taylor seeks new Community Services Director

The District of Taylor announced via Facebook on Friday, January 17th, that it is seeking a new full-time Director of Community Services.

TAYLOR, B.C. — The District of Taylor announced via Facebook on Friday, January 17th, that it is seeking a new full-time Director of Community Services.

The Director’s responsibility involves community and economic development, community engagement, corporate communications, event management, recreation programming, and the safe operation and maintenance of recreational facilities.

“This responsibility includes the program management of educational, tourism, cultural, recreational, and special event activities, the beautification of community greenspaces, the safecare and operations of community facilities, the successful operation of the Peace Island Park campground, and all golf course, functions, within the District of Taylor,” says the post.

The district is looking for candidates with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, a business diploma/degree, at least three years of progressive leadership experience, 

“It would also be an asset if the incumbent also possessed experience in a recreational or facility maintenance administrative field, as well as two years of experience working in local government,” says the post. 

The job involves 35 work hours a week, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is available on weekends, holidays, and special events.

The incumbent must also have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record background. 

Interested people can submit applications by February 14th, 2025, at 4:30 p.m.
