DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Below are the latest charges handed down from the Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson provincial courts between October 28th and November 1st.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, October 29th

Tamara Erika Courtoreille (born 1994):

Courtoreille was found guilty of theft $5,000 or under, three counts of breach of a release order, and assault with a weapon, for incidents that took place in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek between August of 2023 and June of 2024.

Courtoreille was sentenced to one day in jail in addition to jail time served. They were also issued a five-year firearm prohibition, two 12-month probation orders, and were ordered to report for DNA sample collection.

Edwin Naea (born 1991):

Naea was found guilty of operation while over 80 blood alcohol content for an incidnet in Dawson Creek on March 23rd, 2024. 

Naea was fined $2,000, issued a $600 victim surcharge, and received a fifteen-month driving prohibition.

Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, October 30th

Michael Curtis Joseph Clarke (born 1979):

Clarke was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an assault charge related to an incident in Fort Nelson on June 14th, 2023.

If Clarke breaks the conditions laid out by the court, they will have to pay $500.

Colton Michael Zant (born 1992):

Zant was issued a $100 recognizance after the allegation for an assault charge related to an incident in Fort Nelson Indigenous Reserve on September 8th, 2023. 

If Zant breaks the conditions laid out by the court, they will have to pay $100.

Ryan Zuber (born 1980):

Zuber was found guilty of breach of an undertaking and criminal harrassment for an incident that took place on March 7th, 2024 in Fort Nelson.

Zuber was sentenced to jail time served, and received two 12-month probation orders and $200 in victim surcharges, which go towards helping victims of a crime.

Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, October 31st

Cameron Keith Junior Brooks (born 1985):

Brooks was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm for an incident in Lower Post, B.C. on September 3rd, 2023.

Brooks was sentenced to 130 days in jail, and received a 12-month probation order, a 10-year firearm prohibition, and was ordered to report for DNA sample collection.

Kristopher Cory Martell (born 1975):

Martell was issued a $1,000 recognizance after the allegation for a charge of disobeying a court order, related to an incident in Fort Nelson on March 18th, 2023.

If Martell breaks the conditions laid out by the court, they will have to pay $1,000.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, November 1st

Colton Underhill (born 2001):

Underhill was issued a zero-dollar recognizance after the allegation for a charge of mischief $5,000 or under, related to an incident in Dawson Creek on October 1st, 2023. 

A zero-dollar recognizance after the allegation means Underhill was given conditions to follow by the court.
