DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The City of Dawson Creek council proclaimed Saturday, September 21st, as the International Day of Peace.
The proclamation was made during council’s September 9th meeting.
Established in 1981 by the United Nations, the day promotes the ideals of peace among all nations and people.
According to the proclamation, the city has a growing support for observance, affirming the vision of a peaceful world and fostering cooperation between individuals, organizations, and nations.
