Serious injuries reported in stabbing at Site C work site

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – One man is in RCMP custody following a stabbing at the Site C work site on August 24th. 

According to a release from RCMP Corporal Madonna Saunderson, media relations officer for North District, Fort St. John RCMP attended the scene just before 10:30 a.m. on August 24th. 

An adult male with serious injuries was receiving first-aid treatment at the work site and was later taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Another male was identified and arrested without incident and is currently in police custody awaiting a court appearance. 

Both individuals are employees at Site C. However, following an RCMP investigation, the events leading up to the assault are not believed to be related to Site C. 

The RCMP have stated that no more information is available at this time but that more details may be released at a later date.
